“You have to want to be close to the Hill Country and to be involved.” Originally from Wisconsin, Megan and Dan first moved to Boerne 10 years ago and returned, after a brief hiatus in Helotes, a few years ago because they missed the community they’d become a part of. “It’s a lifestyle commitment,” says Megan. With jobs in San Antonio-Megan is a practice manager and therapist for the Psychiatry Clinics at UT Health and Dan works at the North Side headquarters of produce company NatureSweet-the couple have committed to driving each weekday from their home in Boerne because they love its location and its small-town community. Megan and Dan Fredrick know their daily commute could be shorter.
